£90,000- £95,000

With operations across a wide range of sectors, from public infrastructure to private industry, it designs and manages innovative energy solutions.
We are currently looking to add a Senior Technical Manager (MEP) to the team on a full time, permanent basis, you’ll play an important role in the successful delivery of critical MEP upgrade works at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Technical responsibility within your projects for the pre-construction phase design processes, liaising with the client, the design team, the in-house bid team, supply chain and the operations team.
- Responsible for setting up/managing and monitoring the technical strategy/ technical deliverables plan for projects. This includes setting up technical reviews internally and externally.
- Ensures that design and technical risks on projects are identified, managed and mitigated to conclusion.
- Ensures that the relevant internal and external specialists are introduced to the project team at the appropriate time on bids and during preconstruction e.g. offsite MMC, sprinkler designers and other CDP.
- Ensures that designs are properly co-ordinated and communicated.
- Understands, plans, manages and discharges the associated technical obligations under the Building Safety Act and CDM.
- Ensures compliance with relevant Technical Standards, Regulations, Industry norms, good practice, engineering system safety i.e. CDM, BSA, Approved documents etc
- Manages/oversees the design development and integration of value engineering and change
Requirements:
- BEng or Meng/MSc in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or related building services degree
- Demonstrable breadth of exposure to the various elements of Building Services Engineering
- Healthcare, commercial, leisure, MOD/MOJ experience is preferable.
- Comfortably able to manage projects with £5-50M MEP value
