Mechanical Building Services Engineer

An established building services engineering consultancy based in North Bristol is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with 1–3+ years’ experience within mechanical building services design who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment.
You will assist in the delivery of mechanical design solutions across a variety of building projects, including both new build and refurbishment schemes across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical building services design across a range of projects
- Support senior engineers in delivering projects across RIBA work stages
- Produce technical calculations, drawings and design documentation
- Work alongside architects, structural engineers and contractors
- Assist with site visits, surveys and commissioning activities
- Contribute to the development of energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience within mechanical building services design
- Experience working within a building services consultancy or engineering environment
- Understanding of HVAC systems, ventilation, heating and cooling design
- Basic knowledge of UK building regulations and RIBA work stages
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- IESVE or similar building performance modelling tools
- Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
