Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Shift Leader to oversee our clients CNC machine shop operations, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards. You’ll lead a team, drive performance, and support continuous improvement.
Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager
Shift: Triple (Nights, Lates & Earlies)
Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily shift operations to meet production and quality targets

Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance

Manage and support Team Leaders, including labour allocation and performance

Conduct shift briefings and maintain a visible shop floor presence

Oversee workflow, job prioritisation, and machine utilisation

Support training, development, and performance reviews

Resolve production issues and escalate maintenance concerns
-
Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime (OEE)

Ensure accurate job bookings and production records

Maintain high housekeeping and audit standards
Skills & Experience:

CNC machining background (essential)

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

Good communication and team leadership ability

Computer literate
