Adeptus is recruiting for a CNC Turner to join our clients established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering who is looking to develop their skills within a precision manufacturing environment. Experience within an Aerospace engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts (Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm | Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
The Role:
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including machines with Y-axis capability, producing precision components to customer drawings and specifications.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including Y-axis capability.

Carrying out in-cycle inspection and verification of components produced.

Working from customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing route cards and process instructions.

Following inspection procedures to ensure product conformity.

Maintaining accurate documentation and records of machining activities.

Operating multiple CNC machines where possible to maximise efficiency and productivity.

Using a range of precision measuring equipment to check component quality.

Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.

Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of manufacturing processes.
