Adeptus Talent is recruiting for an Avionics Engineer on behalf of a Wiltshire-based client operating within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
Overview:
Design, develop, and test avionics systems for aerospace applications. Work across the full lifecycle from concept and analysis to integration and validation within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Design avionics systems and electronic circuits using CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Develop schematics, embedded systems, and PCB layouts.

Perform system integration, testing, and validation.
-
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
-
Use C++, Python, and MATLAB for simulation, automation, and data analysis.

Manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
-
Analyse test data to optimise system performance.
-
Apply GD&T principles to support manufacturing accuracy.

Provide technical support for assembly and installation.
-
Maintain technical documentation in line with aerospace standards.
Essential Requirements:

Experience in aerospace or defence systems engineering.

Strong skills in circuit design, schematics, and PCB layout.

Proficiency in C++, Python, and MATLAB.

Experience with embedded systems and PLC integration.

Knowledge of testing, data analysis, and root cause investigation.

Understanding of GD&T and mechanical integration.

Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
-
Ability to hold UK Security Clearance.
